Important:Those who seek Me find Me
Posted by: Rani Mathew Kallarackal Anathanam on Sep 3 2011 05:51

Those who seek Me find Me (Proverbs 8:17)

Why should we seek God?

Seek God to live in His Kingdom. God wants every man to give more importance to the spirit inside his body than to his physical body.Once man decide to seek God and His Kingdom and His righteousness everything will be added unto him. Mathew 6 :33-34 says But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Have faith in the Word of God and seek Him.

When Adam and Eve disobeyed God, they did not die physically that day; rather, they died spiritually. Something inside of them died—the spiritual life they had known, the communion with God, the freedom to enjoy Him, the innocence and purity of their soul—it was all gone.

Some who reject God, live the lives of diversion and merriment. Their fleshly pursuits seem to yield a carefree and gratified existence. The Bible says there is a certain measure of delight to be had in sin (Hebrews 11:25...fleeting pleasures of sin). The problem is that it is temporary; life in this world is short (Psalm 90:3-12). Sooner or later, the hedonist, like the prodigal son in the parable, finds that worldly pleasure is unsustainable (Luke 15:13-15). Without God man has only this world. Our soul, often neglected in our pursuit for material, wealth and sensual pleasure.

Without God, man is unfulfilled,
even in his mortal life.

Man is not at peace with his fellow man because he is not at peace with himself. Man is restless within himself because he has no peace with God. The pursuit for pleasure is a sign of inner turmoil. Pleasure seekers throughout history have found over and over, that the temporary diversions of life give way to a deeper despair. The nagging feeling that "something is wrong" is hard to shake off. King Solomon who gave himself to a pursuit of all this world has recorded his findings in the book of Ecclesiastes.

Without God, man’s destiny is hell.

The man without faith in Jesus does not know God and the man living in disobedience to His Word is spiritually dead; when his physical life is over, he faces eternal separation from God. Man is a unique creation. God has set a sense of eternity in our hearts (Ecclesiastes 3:11), and that sense of timeless destiny can only find its fulfillment in God Himself through Jesus alone.Psalm 49:20 a man who is in honor, yet does not understand, is like the beasts that perish. This is what happened to the people at Noah’s time, they refused to obey God’s Word and they perished with the animals. Gen.7:21-23.

Once the spirit man becomes alive by your relationship with Jesus and life in obedience to His written Word, then your spirit man becomes alive unto God. John 6:63 says, the words I have spoken to you are spirit and they are life.Commit your life to Jesus and to His Word. Take decision to read the Word of God daily, to have life for the real man inside your body.

How do we seek God?

Seek Him with all your heart and soul Deut.4:29 says "But if from there you seek the LORD your God, you will find Him if you look for Him with all your heart and with all your soul." God said in Jeremiah 29:13-14, "when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you". God has a plan for each one of us and we can know that plan only by seeking His face.. The thoughts of God towards us, is of peace and not evil. He wants to give us, a good future and a hope. God is like a gentle man and He comes into our lives, only if we request Him. But the devil (the enemy of God) comes to steal, kill and destroy God’s people and he comes without any invitation from us.

Humble yourself and seek God

2 Chr.7:14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Pray like the Psalmist and Seek Him. Psalm 27:8 My heart says of you, "Seek His face!" Your face, LORD, I will seek. Psalm 63:1 O God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you, my body longs for you, in a dry and weary land where there is no water. 2 Chr.19:3 set your heart on seeking God." It is a must for all people to seek God from childhood to live up to the plan of God, in covenant relationship with Him to have a good future.

How can you approach God ?

We can approach God only through One Way, and that One way is Jesus Christ.. In John 14:6-7 Jesus said "I am the Way and the Truth and the Life, no one comes to the Father except through ME. If you really knew ME, you would know My Father as well.

Jesus is alive, He alone rose from the dead through whom we can approach God.

Believe with all your heart that Jesus Christ is God, the only begotten Son of God became man, to save the world (humanity) from sin and from the clutches of the devil, irrespective of any religion or any good thing they have done. The penalty for sin is death which Jesus took on Himself as a sinless Lamb of God, He bore the sin and sickness of humanity and died on the cross in the place of each human being born into this world. Many good people have come into this world before Jesus, have done good things and they all died and are no more.Unlike those good people Jesus Christ took the sin and punishment of the humanity upon Himself, and not only died and was buried, but He rose from the dead and is alive today for you and me.If you want life in your spirit man that is inside your body, this is what the LORD says to the house of Israel: "Seek Me and live(Amos5:4)

How to make sure that you are saved ?

First hear the Word and believe in Jesus. He comes into our hearts only if you repent and believe in Him. Then accept Him as your only Lord and Savior. of your life. Salvation comes by grace, as one believes in Jesus For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God, not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. (Eph.2:8-10).

Good works alone cannot save us until one believes in Jesus Christ.

We have the example of a good man named Cornelius, who did a lot of good works. He and all his family were devout and God-fearing; he gave generously to those in need and prayed to God regularly. But God send an angel to him and said to meet Apostle Peter, to hear the good news from him to be saved.(Read Acts 10:1-48). We are marked with the Holy spirit when we hear the Word and believe in Jesus Christ. In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession,to the praise of His glory(Eph1:13,14).

God is Spirit and man can seek Him only in the spiritual realm. Once you accept Him as your only Lord and Master of your life, start a relationship with Him and come to know Him personally. I thank my God for the grace He gave to seek His face at the age of 32. When you come to know Him and establish a relationship with Him, the Word in John 14:7 become alive to you, for He said if you really knew ME, you would know My Father as well.

God is a Spirit and man is made in the image and likeness of God in the spirit.Due to the sin of Adam and Eve the spirit made in the image and likeness of God was dead but the body is alive. And the whole humanity is born with a dead spirit. When you repent, believe in Jesus and accept Him into your heart, your spirit man inside your body becomes alive. To keep the spirit alive, obey the Word of God. Jesus said, His Word is spirit and they are life. John 6:63 "The Words I have spoken to you are spirit and they are life".

When man becomes alive unto God he is a new creation. Obey the Word to show forth you fully belong to Him. Jn. 3:5 says "I am telling you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit".Here water means Word of God 1 Pet 1:23 says "For through the living and eternal Word of God, you have been born again as the children of a parent who is immortal, not mortal".Now you as a believer, are commanded to be baptized. So water baptism is commanded by the Lord Jesus. And the Lord said, "If you love me, keep my commandments" (John 14:15). Water baptism, then, is an outward picture of what has happened already to the believer. Going down into the water pictures death and burial, and coming up out of the water pictures their resurrection.

Make sure of your salvation through your relationship with Jesus and by living in obedience to His Word.

Eternal life is not just a passive faith in Jesus. that faith even the devil has and trembles. James 2:19 says,"You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that and shudder."

Eternal life is knowing Jesus and God the Father.

For Jesus prays in John 17:3 "Now this is eternal life: that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent". Through this ongoing relationship with Jesus and by living in obedience to His Word, you are seeking Him with all your heart and surely you have found Him and you learn to take instructions from Him about His plan for your life as said in Jeremiah 29:13-14). For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you, says the LORD.

Once saved, begin to seek His face every day, not for any material gain but to experience His presence with you always and to enjoy eternal life after you die physically. Let Psalm 27:4 be your desire." One thing I ask of the LORD, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek Him in His temple".

This Web site:Editing Family Trees
Posted by: Tom Jose Kallarackal on Aug 14 2010 14:36

Hello everyone,

Up till this point there has been only 1 family tree on this website. I used the MyHeritage Family Tree Bulider (FTB) program to update it. Since the program is on my computer it wasn't possible for anyone else to edit, add, or change any information on the family tree. If any edits had to be made they had to be made by me in the FTB program.

I recently added 4 more seperate trees to the website. These are 4 of the main branches on the main tree (Karikkattuparampil, Anathanam, Kollamkulam, and Maliakal). These 4 are can be edited by all website members. I only added these 4 other trees so that members can help add information, but this will probably only be temporary.

If you edit any of these 4 trees please send me a message telling me what you have changed. This way I can make the changes in the main tree using the FTB program. I think this is important because it is the main tree that shows how everyone is connected.

I say this is only t...

Important:Know Him, Love Him, Serve Him
Posted by: Rani Mathew Kallarackal Anathanam on July 6 2010 01:10

Successful Christian living begins with knowing who God is. The book of Numbers reveals much about the character and ways of God. Moses’ prayer in Exo.33:13 should be dominant in the heart of every believer. “If you are pleased with me, teach me your ways so I may know you and continue to find favor with you. Remember that this nation is your people.” In the present world, people are filled with the knowledge of various things of the world, many are highly intellectuals and has great knowledge of the world to help people in counselling, in having good relationships with family and others. Although this worldly knowledge help to know things and people better, it is very temperory in one’s life. This knowledge does not lead anyone to know God.This knowledge will vanish away (1 Cor.13:8).
Some people have knowledge of the Bible and are great theolgians and philosophers, but that also does not help them to know God and this knowledge often makes one proud of himself, 1Cor.8:1-3 ...We know that we all possess knowledge.Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up. The man who thinks he knows something does not yet know as he ought to know. But the man who loves God is known by God.We need to check the Word of God to know if we truely know and love Him as we ought.
Many claim to know and love God because of their position in the church or the good works they are doing . Although these are good , yet if they have no personal relationship with Jesus and do not know Him through the Word of God, they will not know the ignorance they are in.(Gal. 6:3)Knowledge of God comes by seeking the wisdom of God James3:17 says “But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.”
What is wisdom of God ?
Wisdom is knowing the truth of God’s Word and how to apply it to any given situation. Therefore Word of God is your source of wisdom.Wisdom and understanding comes by obedience to the Word. The Lord wants us to be fully in the Word of God because He lives in our hearts through our obedience to His Word and we bear fruit by it.Math.13: 23 "But the one who received the seed that fell on good soil is the man who hears the Word and understands it. He produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.", Lk.8: 15 "But the seed on good soil stands for those with a noble and good heart, who hear the word, retain it, and by persevering produce a crop."

Do let me know if these kind of articles are read and appriciated or any questions concering about how to seek God and establish a relationship with Him which is very important in ones life.
