I guess we need to have an introduction.

We, The Kaliyas, are from Pondicherry, India. Kaliyaperumal Irrusappan (Kaliya), the head of the family was born and brought up in a village called Ramanathapuram, Pondicherry, India. Kaliya was born to parents who were not literate. Despite that fact, he studied well and reached the SSLC (10^th class). He was a bright student at Mathematics and has scored 96% in his SSLC (even today he can do complex arithmetic without a calculator). Although he has not cleared his Language (English) paper in SSLC, he got an admission into Teacher Training. At that juncture he was asked by his mother to assist his elder brother in agriculture. Kaliya wasn’t keen in pursuing a career in farming/agriculture. But, fate played its game and he ended up being a farmer/agriculturist throughout his life.

When he stepped in to assist his bro, they had a piece of cultivable land. Through his hardwork, sheer determination to succeed and to prove a point to the so called “Big Men” of the village, he built; created his own agricultural empire (I would call it an Empire). I wouldn’t deny the part played by his elder bro in this creation. Well I will add up more on this soon…

He was married to Indira Kaliyaperumal (then Indira Arumugam) at the age of 30. The success of the marriage is evident form their 4 kids and they way they have grown. Again, lots on this will be added soon…

A brief about the elder son and the rest later… Sarvanan finished his B.V.Sc and pursued his Masters in Public Health (M.P.H) at Bowling Green State University, Ohio, US. By doing his masters in US, he has fulfilled his dad’s dream. Moreover, it turned out to be a place where he met his LADY LOVE, Darshana Pandya. They are married and are leading a peaceful and joyous life.
