La signora Daniela e il marito dopo un lutto hanno deciso di rintracciare tutti i parenti sparsi per il mondo. Una grande tavolata nel borgo medievale festeggerà questa straordinaria riunione di famiglia
Non è mai troppo tardi per ricostruirsi una famiglia. Almeno secondo Daniela Ciani e Alessandro Tessi - marito e moglie, settant´anni lei e ottanta lui - che la loro la incontreranno al completo, per la prima volta, soltanto oggi: oltre centocinquanta tra zii, nipoti e cugini tra i 2 e gli 86 anni e provenienti da ogni angolo del pianeta, dall´Australia al Canada, dalla Toscana all´Ungheria, dalla Germania alla Croazia, pronti a mettersi a tavola e a fare la conoscenza l´uno dell´altro in una grande cena nel borgo medievale di Monteriggioni, di cui Daniela è originaria. Un´intera, enorme famiglia («per disegnarla - raccontano - c´è voluto un albero genealogico grande due metri per quattro») scovata un pezzo alla volta rovistando tra pagine della memoria e fotografie sbiadite, tra lingue straniere e fusi orari.
Per Daniela è stato più facile, perché i suoi antenati vivono in Toscana da sempre. «Almeno dal Quattrocento - racconta - Riunire i vari ceppi, i Ciani, i Cellerai e i Gazzei è stato semplicissimo: siamo sempre stati vicini». Una fortuna che il marito, Alessandro, non ha avuto: «La sua famiglia, di origine istriana, si è dispersa a causa della guerra e delle vicissitudini storiche - spiega ancora Daniela - Lui ha vissuto in Ungheria per poi trasferirsi, nel 1956, a Milano, dove ci siamo conosciuti». Di cugini e nipoti sparsi nel mondo, dunque, nessuna notizia. Finché, l´anno scorso, i due non hanno deciso di andarli a cercare: «Stiamo per festeggiare il nostro venticinquesimo anniversario di matrimonio ma, soprattutto, tempo fa abbiamo vissuto un grave lutto, che ci ha portato a riflettere sul valore degli affetti, sull´importanza di essere vicini gli uni con gli altri finché c´è tempo».
Ma come si ricostruisce, partendo da zero, un´intera famiglia? La risposta, nel 2009, non poteva che essere internet. «Abbiamo caricato i nostri alberi genealogici sul sito myheritage.com e da quel momento sono cominciate le sorprese. Attraverso un programma che mostra rami affini al tuo, abbiamo scoperto che uno zio di mio marito era finito in Australia: quando l´ha riconosciuto in foto, è scoppiato in lacrime». Da qui ad arrivare a quota 150, il passo è stato breve: «Gli ultimi parenti li abbiamo trovati una decina di giorni fa: vivono in Germania».
ancora, invece, erano incredibilmente più vicini, solo che né Daniela né Alessandro lo sapevano: «Vivono a Lucca e a Pisa. E´ bastata una telefonata: "Pronto, mettiti a sedere, devo dirti una cosa importante: sono tuo cugino"». L´invito a cena è stato accettato da tutti, australiani e canadesi compresi. «Sono arrivate lettere e e-mail bellissime. E con alcuni ci sentiamo al telefono regolarmente. Per me, che ho sempre avuto i parenti vicini, è anche difficile da capire. Ma sono orgogliosa di aver potuto trasmettere a mio marito la sensazione di avere qualcuno alle spalle».
Quanto alla scelta del luogo, Daniela e Alessandro non hanno avuto dubbi: «Siamo entrambi innamorati della Toscana e vogliamo fare assaggiare un po´ dei suoi sapori a chi viene da lontano. Ci saranno costumi medievali, spettacoli a tema, e verrà a salutarci anche il sindaco, Bruno Valentini».
