The trip back to New Zealand was great fun - full of family and friends

This year the Palmerston North McCrae met up at the Ashhurst Domain for a family fun day and this year we were joined by Uncle Malcolm and Aunty Glennys and their family....fantastic to catch up.

While we were there we celebrated Michaels 16th....singing Happy Birthday with great gusto!!!

Kit and Geoff giant kite was a massive hit with both the kids and the adults....but what really got everyone was the petrol generator they bought along to boil the jug for a cup of tea!!!

A big hit with all the males was Pete's new Impala Ute.....fantastic piece of machinery that everyone just had to touch.

The following day was my Dad's birthday so those of us in the country made his favourite meal and turned up with all the necessary trimming...and once again we found ourselves singing Happy Birthday.

But all good things close eventually and on the Monday we found ourselves doing the final catch up with friends in Wellington prior to flying back to Melbourne.

Plans for the 2009 Christmas have already been made - the Perkins clan is camping out at an NZ beach for the duration....inviting family and friends to join them...should be fun
