Peter worked for the railroad. He had his leg cut off in an accident working for the railroad. He constantly wore bib overalls. He loved to hunt. He made his own duck decoys. He also loved to fish. He made a lot of his own nets. He was shot one time while out hunting squirrels. He was shot in his good leg. He would travel on a bus to Rock Island to visit his aunt Marie Velgie (Granpa DeMeyer's sister).
LaVerne said that Tom Joyce was a senator in Wisconsin. She can't remember what year. He was a good friend of Hubert Humprey. There was a photo of Tom Joyce sitting in a rocking chair and Robert Kennedy was standing by him. He died in Florida. LaVerne went down to the funeral. She can't remember what year. He was short in stature....standing around 5 foot tall. Had to buy kids clothes. Hubert Humprey's bodygaurds attended his funeral.
Debbie was married and had 3 girls. Debbie married James Jay Earl. Her girl's names are Cherie, Jennifer and Sarah. Debbie died of breast cancer in 1989. She is buried in Aledo, Illinois. Cherie Artcher had two girls...Kylie age 14 and Kilani age 2. Jennifer had two boys...Caden and Collin. Sarah had one boy...Kieran
