I have wonderful memories of a beautiful grandma. She would make scones and have a jar of barley sugar sticks and bull eyes on the sideboard. She had a stroke a few years before she died and lost power to her right side and found it difficult to speak properly. I had just turned 16 when she passed away. She would sit on the verandah of her home at 446 Mogill Road, Indooroopilly and watch the passing cars and people.
