My name is Lori Talbot and I started this site. I am focusing on MacGregor and Booth Family trees.  I only have a limited amount on the MacGregor side, but I was given a bunch of old Booth family tree information and photos and am trying to organize it all. Some interesting things I've found out so far are:

Sir Thomas Dutton died in the Battle of Blore-Heath, the 1st battle of the War of the Roses.  He is the brother of my 19xgreat grandmother Maud Booth. 

Richard Booth was one of the first 17 settlers of Stratford, Connecticut. He is my 11xgreat grandfather. He settled in 1632.

Lyman Beecher was a shoemaker and fought in the War of 1812. He is the brother of Sibella Beecher Booth, my 6x great grandmother. 

Harriet Beecher Stowe, the writer of Uncle Tom's Cabin, is the 4th cousin 5xremoved of my grandmother.

Captain James Booth was in the 4th regiment during the revolutionary war.

I found out that President Ulysses S. Grant is my mothers 6th cousin 3xremoved. 

I haven't found how I'm related yet, but William Booth started the Salvation Army in England in 1865.  Most of my relations were in the USA at this time, but it seems like they may have been responsible for starting The US's Salvation Army.  I have a lot of pictures that show people in uniform and my great grandmother is referred to as Lieutenent others are called cadets and juniors. Ihave to research the salvation army's history and see if we show up somewhere.
