My name is Colleen Bessell and I started this site.
This site was created using MyHeritage.com. This is a great system that allows anyone like you and me to create a private site for their family, build their family tree and share family photos. If you have any comments or feedback about this site, please click here to contact me.

Thanks to all our family  who have been adding photo's and updating data, if anyone is having any trouble with the site, just email or ring me and I can talk you through how to add the photo's/data and how to print charts and books.

This tree has both mine and Kim's sides (which join up at several places!) and is growing by the day.

Sue and I have found a heap of new Danish relations, on both the Hansen and Larsen sides, some living in Denmark, and now a branch in Alberta, Canada. We both get such a thrill, when we make contact with whole new branches, and it's great to see the similarity in some of the photo's. The bright blue eyes, seem to be in nearly every branch.

McGrechan rellies, I have put a part of a tree for William McGrechan and his wife Margaret- at the moment it is just hanging while I try and figure out how it connects- I have had this info for months but can't find the link, but I know it has to fit in somewhere. So if you want to have a look, just type in his name and check out his tree.I havent had any luck linking them yet, but with the difficulties of finding McGrechan spelt in about 60 ways, I havent given up yet!!!

Guthrie & Cott Rellies, I have had info from John Gurthrie and Melanie Robson on both of these branches, and you'll find new photo's and info in these areas.

Our family tree is posted online on this site! There are 8147 names in our family site. The earliest event is the birth of Andrew Guthrie (1350). The most recent event is the birth of <Private> Gudlaugson (Mar 19 2013).
The site was last updated on June 18 2013, and it currently has 213 registered member(s). A lot of the earlier info is as yet unconfirmed, but the names/places/dates that I have put in are from other family members, and other geneology sites. As confirmation of info is found, I will add it to the sites. If anybody has any birth/death certificates, photo's or any other info they would like put on, feel free to do so, or email to me (with all the details and I can add).
