PremiumPlus family site
My name is Paul Fookes
and I started this site with my wife Fran.
This site was created using MyHeritage.com. It started when we realised that our family history and the narrative was being lost to time and dementia. History is who we are and how we connect. If you have any comments or feedback about this site, please click here to contact me.
We look forward to building our family tree and helping others to piece together their's. To show links to other family trees we have included "*Link" after the surname of the individual. The information on those links is shown in the notes together with the URL.
There are two main parts to our tree [Fookes, Richards, Deamer] and [Henderson, Byrne, Bergin]. Hope you enjoy the journey as much as we do putting it together. Patrick Costigan is currently undertaking a lot of work in Ireland with respect to the Bergin family tree. Roz May in WA is doing work on the Byrne family tree. The John and Hannah Richards are entered as John Richard's parents because an extensive search of online records shows that they are the only couple who fit the right date and locality profile. This part of the tree will need to be verified by a direct record search
We used a lot of work that was originally done by the late John Appleby of Great Horksley, Essex England, verified by Wendy Warne of British Ancestry.com and the work of Christopher Fookes of Grays Point, NSW, Australia. Key information has also been added from other family trees for the linked person. We have added the Coolah and Cassilis connection to the Tree. We are currently digitising a lot of the early Fookes Deamer photographs because they are starting to perish through age, and insect activity. Hopefully we can get most of them before it is too late. Our family tree is posted online on this site! There are 617 names in our family site.
The site was last updated on July 1 2015, and it currently has 57 registered member(s). If you wish to become a member too, please click here.
