Bruce Baker is delighted to announce that the reserve in Alliance Street formerly affectionatley known as "Frog Hollow" will now be known as A.J. Baker Park in honour of his father.
The sign to be erected by Maitland City Council will read "A.J. BAKER PARK (1885-1982)
Dedicated to the memory of Aubery James Baker - Mayor of the Municipal Council of East Maitland in 1933, former owner of the property, and part of the Baker family who pioneered the manufacturing of bricks in Maitland."
Once the sign has been installed, Bruce is hoping to organize a day for those in the family would like to attend a dedication ceremony.
