My name is DOREEN EDNA PAYNE and I started this site.   To clarify our family line from other Payne sites, please note our family  originated from William Payne born. 1814 - 1886 whom married SarahAlcock born 1814 -  whom were my Great Great Grandparents.   The siblings of this family were officially known as Bentley-Payne's, but this was dropped in the next generation.

My parents  Leslie Francis Payne and Phyllis Monica Payne were first cousins, their fathers Francis Joseph Payne and James Michael Payne are brothers, which has been very difficult not to double up with family heritage, and I still have to sort this problem out, so bare with me.  Both Mum and Dad have now passed and at 67 I am an orphan for the first time.   What a privilege it was to have my Mum with us till she was almost 90.  Just missed her birthday on the 8th November, 2013 by 6 days.   We had a wonderful send off for her, and a party on her actual birthday and at the same time placed her ashes with Dad at the Te Awamutu RSA Lawn Cemetery.

This site was created using This is a great system that allows anyone like you and me to create a private site for their family, build their family tree and share family photos.  If you have any comments or feedback about this site, please contact me @

I live Pepepe Valley, West of Huntly on Highway 22 in NZ on a sheep and beef farm with my Husband Donald Coles.  We move here in 2007 from Paraheka Station in Aria.
