Mary Retallack suggests this was taken by WC McDonald abt 1900, which would mean they may be Murdoch (aged 16), Ann (36), Hugh Gottlieb (10), Hugh(22), Hugh snr (68), Ruth (62), Annie (32) & Gladys (2 yrs).
Baptised in Unley Presbyterian Church. Died of "cancer of the brain". Death Notice SA Register-"McDonald. On the 15th November at Yongala, after twelve months suffering, Harriet Jane, eldest daughter of RA and Hugh McDonald. Aged 21 years 2 months"
Eda died of bronchitis. I wonder if Hugh's Scottish accent changed her name from Ada, & she is entered in the Family Bible as Edith. Whatever, she has been recorded by BDM as Eda. Thanks to Elise Knight for helping find her.
