William was born July 28 1863 in TN. Died April 27 1930 Pottawatomie county Oklahoma. Our family history shows that he ran from the law after shooting his father in law in the shoulder trying to get his wife to came home. After running he changed his name to Smith and married Mary Hayes. I will have to pull out all my records to be able to list all of his children and his first wife.
