My name is Robert Cassidy
and I started this site. The Cassidy line of my family goes back to Peter Cassidy dob 1824 in Ireland. I have traced my family back to Sunderland, England; Scotland, UK; and Ireland. I can be contacted by email: rbml.cassidy@bigpond.com and I welcome any queries. The Barns line of my wife's family goes back to and beyond the first fleet's arrival in Australia. There were 3 convicts (Saltmarsh, Phillips & Hollogin) on the 1st Fleet, 1 convict (Butler) on the 2nd Fleet, 1 convict (Stevens) on the 3rd Fleet; and 2 other convicts (Wise & Willington) who arrived on subsequent convict ships. The Barns (note there is no "e" in Barns) family has a rich history. We have found early relatives in Tasmania and South Australia; and later relatives in Queensland, including Gympie and Brisbane. This site was created using MyHeritage.com. This is a great system that allows anyone like you and me to create a private site for their family, build their family tree and share family photos. If you have any comments or feedback about this site, please click here to contact me. Our family tree is posted online on this site! There are 421 names in our family site. The earliest event is the birth of Christopher (Xother) Alford (1719). The most recent event is the death of Ann Hardy (Aug 16 2011). The site was last updated on June 19 2013, and it currently has 13 registered member(s). If you wish to become a member too, please click here. Enjoy!
