It's been a while since I left San Diego...we arrived at Manila Intl Airport last Mar. 14 (6:00am) and met all my love ones immediately the same day and we went shopping at the Duty-Free Shops after a get-together lunch at Pagcatipunan residence. Kirsy and Eunice were so shocked to see me that day, they hugged me so tight that I almost choked, hehehe. Thank God for our families.
I have undergone two CT scans (April 2nd and 11th of May)..fortunately my pancreas fluid decreased by 25% within that period. Though its not enough to have a "go" for my surgery.
I've consulted 4 doctors from Manila Doctors Hospital and they all said that I am so lucky to have survived what I went through. From 9 different kinds of medicine, I am now taking only 4 types. Thank God for a new life.
At Ollie's 40th birthday celebration (April 25th tho its really May 25th, but she's going back to Bangkok on the 27 of April) I talked with Auntie Timan (they will stay here up to June 10th) and we decided that I will manage her condo unit at Cambridge Village and a townhouse at North Fairview. She was so happy that I have accepted the task coz her whole family is now in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. I have the option to choose whatever I want to use whether the condo or the townhouse...I'll decide later, hehehe. Thank God for a new house.
Last May 16, I signed a contract making me the official franchise owner of Mandaluyong-San Juan-Pasig areas of Celebrity Nails Home Service Spa. That includes a brand new Mitsubishi L-300 FB and all their existing customers. It was also Eunice's 16th birthday! The day before that she won two tickets for the concert of American Idol's David Cook and David Archuleta...she was a big fan of both. Thank God for a new blessing.
I miss all the things I've experienced in San Diego but good things sometimes have to end...so new good and better things might come. To all of you, thank you.
"Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death....."
Many times we've recited this line of Psalms 23, but it has never been so personal to me than that dreadful week of December, 2008. As I lay on an emergency room bed, with an indescribable excruciating pain, my mind and body can't cope up with what's happening to me. The only thing I remember is whispering "Lord, please help me..." then I passed out.
Days have passed, I don't know for how long, until my consciousness came back to me. As I feel total darkness around me, I am almost sure that I was given a choice: whether I would come back or take a long rest forever. I chose life. And with the help of the doctors and hospital staff, God gave me a second shot in life and eventually a new body.
"I will fear no evil..."
After spending three weeks in ICU, I was finally transferred to a recovery room. But not after undergoing series of critical treatments; dialysis, insulin drip, massive doses of medicines, etc.
I realized that if God gave me another chance in life, there's no room for fear. I felt God's comfort through my family, loved ones, relatives and friends. I could never express how grateful I am to all of you.
I thank God for your prayers and concern...and I would forever cherish what God gave me back: a wonderful life ahead.
I have upgraded our site so we can contribute more pics, more news, more new additions to our family tree! I cannot let our contributions be hindered by lack of space so I took it on myself to upgrade it so we'll have a lot more space for our members' participation. Thank you all.
