My name is Glenn Payne and I started this site.

Our family has many ancestors from England and specifically the Cornwall area.  We have Lutherans ejected from Austria, a convict deported to Tasmania (for stealing seven chickens) and most recently Polish choosing the good life in Australia.  I am most intruiged by the clustering of two groups that married locally through the years: the Cornwall (specifically St Just, Madron, Morvah, Sancreed) group and the Burwood group.  It is logical that many years ago the target partner was local but it's amazing how tightly these two groupd kept interweaving and very rarely including new people.  Some lines seem to be traceable further than others, so if you have any insights please share them.
