My primary goal is to document the Salembier ancestry and trace it, as far back as possible. In order to achieve accurate results, I have included such family names as: Hunter, I., Armstrong, Salembier, Carbone,deMoose, Sheehan, Emert, Weber, Horelik, E., Zola, Cignoli, Mangan, Horelik, M., Amen, Lane, Hunter, A., Hurley, Brown, Widmann, Uccellini, Bistline,Harrity, Lindstrom, Shoemaker, Cruikshank, Eskey, Davis, Cornell, Moore, Lawson, Cropf, Kelly, Forester, Robinson, Reid, King, Stevens, Burnes, Rodrigues, Clark, VanZandt, Travers, Saville, Hayer, Torillon, De La Chapelle, Richolson, Cross, O'Connor, Allen, Mulligan, Plisek, Lathrop, Cornet, Fulchiron, DeFrontgous, Marchal, Martin, Ter Bruggen, Wanderpepen, Glorieux, Devos, Foulon, Dekeyn and Seynaeve.
I am currently working on certain areas of Belgium: The Waasland region, Kortrijk (Courtrai in French) and its' surrounding areas, West - Flanders (namely Bellegem) and The Walloon region. So far, most of our early ancestors have come from these areas. I have also joined The Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island Foundation through ellisisland.org and I am using this site as a way to obtain such information as: passenger information, ship information, departure/arrival dates, ship manifests and passenger records. We have a number of ancestors who came here from either Belgium or France. This information is vital to the research. Please look for updates, as I will be doing so, on a daily basis! Love to all!
