My name is Laurette Alaniva and I started this site. My mother, Elaine Prothero Alaniva, started researching our family tree in 1979.  This site is not just about the "begats" of our family.  I have my grandmother Lillian Filpula Alaniva's old photo albums for the Alaniva side of the family. For the Prothero side I have detailed geneologies that were done for Clifford Stoddard many years ago that he gave to my mom.  Fascinating stuff!  There are pictures from pre-1900 right up to present day. I am scanning these photos in order to preserve them for my children - and yours!  I hope that you will view one of the slideshows that are available.
