Taken in Propriano, Corsica in August 2002. Alan was a fantastic host to a family he had never met arriving on his doorstep. We had a lovely afternoon talking of things past. He is/was more or less blind but seemed to enjoy his life in the residential home with music and a box of wine to keep him company. We all look like long shanks.
