Hello, my name is Dan McCarthy and this my family history webpage.

I decided to establish the site so as to bring together all of the growing and disparate information I have been gathering over the past few months on my family history, and to put it in a safe and accessible location.

The name of the project comes from the name of our house, 'Cois Farraige.'  This was chosen to maximize contrastivity with other McCarthys; McCarthy is, afterall, a very common surname here in Co. Cork.

I hope you will be interested by the information provided here. In particular, there are notes attached to many of the names on the tree.
