My name is Ian Breckenridge
and I started this site. The size of our family tree is now over 13,000 individuals. If you would like to contribute information, documents or pictures or have noticed an error, please click here to contact me. The site was last updated on Mar 26 2015, and it currently has 63 registered member(s).
February 2015 Update - The tree continues to grow!
In the Breckenridge tree:
Treharne/Bennet - A significant amount of time was spent on the the family of my Aunt Olive Mae “Olly” Cook (born Treharne) wife of Albert Wesley “Bud” Cook. This included incorporating corrections and new information received from Debbie Cook. Thanks Debbie! Many family trees were found on-line to extend Olly’s father’s family (Treharne, Zavitz). Olly’s mother’s family (Bennett, Stevens) was a bit more difficult as quite a bit of research was necessary and some of the family trees on Ancestry.ca contained errors that took a while to sort out.
Payne – I joined the Reid family site and expanded Lisa Payne’s family
In the Hand tree:
I occasionally get questions from other amateur genealogists or historians. Jon Skidmore of Wales contacted me recently. He’s writing a Memorial Volume for Neath and District for the 1st World War, which he hopes to have published next year. Dennis Leahy b1879, from our family tree, appears on the memorial. Although he wasn’t a casualty of active service it’s possible that his death occurred shortly afterwards and thus he is honoured on the memorial. His cousin, Daniel Sullivan, is not listed on the memorial as he was discharged due to health reasons and returned to his job in the coal mines. Daniel was the great uncle of my mother-in-law Lynn (Sullivan) Hand. I provided Jon with the information I had on these veterans of WWI and he promised to reciprocate with any information he was able to uncover in his research.
