Our family tree is posted online on this site! There are 20278 names in our family site. The earliest event is the birth of Laurence de Abernethy (1203). The most recent event is the death of Joan Lorraine Wilmot (born Sinclair) (Nov 14 2011).

Since beginning this site, there have been some rather unusual twists, turns, and errors.   Until I am able to solve this enigma, it will be confusing to everyone, especially me!  Given this and other family issues, there is only one way to describe our family:  mixed-up and hence the name of the tree!  "My Mixed-up Family Tree"

UPDATE MAY 21, 2012

While I have been taking time away from working on my site, I became aware of several serious errors and will be working mainly on making corrections and doing research in order to try and document all entries in some manner which have not been so already, which is the majority!

I apologize for the hold on confirmations but as I don't wish to have errors in my tree, I do not wish to pass on bad data to others.  This is a problem due to "Smart Matches" and conflicting data.  Without documentation there is no way to determine the correct data and so errors are passed on.

Unfortunately, I disregarded the first rule in geneaology research: citing and documentation of data.  I never expected the influx of data I received here and thought I could back-track especially since the site I used previously I received only a few matches in a year's time.  A lesson learned the hard way, but learned well.  No more entries will be made without documentation.  It is my hope you understand and if at all possible will document your own data.  Thank you for your patience.
