My name is Dawn Sparacio
and I started this site on MyHeritage.com in an attempt to reconstruct and resurrect my grandmother's intense research in family history.
In the book "Southern Killens" by Parrott Eason Turner (pub. 1982, (c) Carl Turner Marcus and Dawn Marcus Sparacio) my grandmother detailed her direct line of ascendants back to the first immigrant Killen to come to America from Ireland. The book focuses primarily on her direct line, but also includes a lot of information on the lines of other children of William Killen.
I am very new to genealogical research, having just inherited this project in 2009. Since then I have fervently been reproducing the original publication of "Southern Killens" to a digital format, along with photos from the original book and from Mrs. Turner's files. I've learned a lot, but know I can never learn enough. So if you have a connection to the Southern Killens on this family tree and have information to augment or correct what is posted here, please contact me at email@example.com and share!
Everyone enjoys seeing photos of family members and events. Site members are encouraged to include their photos if they wish. However, PLEASE BE SURE THE PHOTOS ARE IDENTIFIED WITH A SPECIFIC PERSON. We don't all know each other personally and, in general, would have no idea who or what a photo is of unless it is tagged appropriately. Give the photo a file name that identifies the person (and date if appropriate). I can then successfully "associate" those photos on the family tree for all to enjoy. Unidentifiable photos will be removed. Thank you.
