POZZOLI sobrenombre especifico de la LOMBARDIA OCCIDENTAL

POZZOLO o POZZUOLO variante correspondiente al cepo GENOVESE, aunque tambien se presenta en el PIEMONTE y en el VENETO.

Se cree que deriva de los nombres de lugares (toponimios) LONATE POZZOLO - LOMBARDIA(VA) POZZOLO F0RMIGARO(AL) ALESSANDRIA y POZZOLO - VENETO (MN)

PAIS DE ORIGEN: ITALIA

Muy raro y especifico de cada area de la Alessandria (Piemonte) y de la LIGURIA (Genova).

Aparentemente derivaria directamente a traves de una forma ipocoristica judia medieval, del nombre MOISE (mosé), a su vez derivado de MOISES, hijo de Egipto.
