U.K. Census

In England, censuses were conducted every ten years since 1801. Censuses before 1841 were taken strictly for statistical purposes and the first census listing people by name was taken in 1841.

MyHeritage provides the full index and images for the 1841, 1851, 1861, 1871, 1881, 1891, 1901 and 1911 UK censuses.

The questions in U.K. census records varied from year to year. They typically include names of household members, ages, place of birth, residence, occupation and more.
