There are two kinds of Vassilopita - one which is a sweet rich bread made with eggs and butter (similar to the tsoureki Easter bread) and the other is a cake. They can cost from anywhere between 2euros to the sky's the limit. This one is the former type with almonds on the top spelling out "2008". A coin is hidden in the bread somewhere. There is an order in cutting the bread where you cut a circle in the middle first for God, and then each subsequent slice is for other holy people, then for family, friends and finally for other things. The section which contains the coin is believed to be doubly blessed. Zac made it and Harris as head of the household cuts it.
