BIOGRAPHY: Came to Canada in 1949 with Derry and their 4 eldest children and settled in Prince George BC. Two more children died before Derry died in 1960 after only 16 years of marriage. Barbara remained in Prince George until 1963 at which time she moved to Vanderhoof with her three youngest children.
 
BIOGRAPHY: She worked as a french teacher in Vanderhoof from 1963 to 1976 when she retired. Barbara moved to Victoria in 1980 and lived with her daughter Meg for the last 27 years, the last two which were spent with her son John and his wife Joyce. She is survived by all six of her children and spouses, 11 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and numerous relatives around the world.
