“The 1975 reunion book said that she moved to Grant Twp., Newaygo County, Michigan, to live with her son John and his wife Jessie in 1921. When she died, they transported her body by train from Kent City to Overisel for burial with her husband Berend.

Leide (aka Lyda) Kuyper (Kuyer, Koyer), daughter of Albert and Janna, was born on November 22, 1841 in Golenkamp, Bentheim, Germany, and was baptized on Jan 23 1842 in Ulesen, Bentheim, Germany. She married Berend Jansen in Golenkamp on Oct 13, 1864. In January of 1886 she emigrated to the USA. She was the mother of four sons: Harm, John, Albert and Henry; and six daughters: Anna, Fanna, Jennie, Reka (aka Henrietta), Dena and Fanny.
