BiographyMilton when learning his piano lesson seemed more interested in trading a duck with the teacher. Ethel would take Milton to music but he would be lying back in the chair at the music teachers with his feet up on the piano.   Milton Austin is the second son of Jack and Annie. He was born at Nelson's Bay. Like his father he was a hard worker yet being influenced from home circumstances vowed never to touch alcohol. He had the invaluable asset of a keen sense of humour and probably inherited this from his mother. Happy memories for him were of working on the farm and hunting rabbits or stray cats with his brother John.   Bert George is the son of Milton and compiler of this family history. The essence of genealogy seems on the surface to be endlessly boring but once a discovery is made of one's life and the spirit of one's ancestors, there is one's roots. And there in life's background with its weaknesses and strengths a further discovery can result in finding one's essential self. The biggest single contribution our ancestors have made to the George family is the foundation laid in passing Christian values on to their children. The extent to which they patterned their lives on Christ is the extent to which our family tree has expanded spiritually.   Died from Sunnymede Nursing Home [Caboolture, Qld].   Marriage Record: Registration Number Groom's Surname Groom's Given Name(s) Bride's Last Name at Time of Marriage Bride's Given Name(s) District 23517/1940 GEORGE MILTON AUSTIN COOPER MAUD PETERSHAM   Milton Austin George http://trees.ancestry.com/rd?f=image&guid=5d380f24-a706-4b7a-bef8-6f7876b72590&tid=1200698&pid=-1974428012   Milton Austin George http://trees.ancestry.com/rd?f=image&guid=3763c1e5-dcb6-4bbb-8c7d-a31865d52d7b&tid=1200698&pid=-1974428012   Milton when learning his piano lesson seemed more interested in trading a duck with the teacher.
