Janice Katherine Lawrence
Janice Katherine Lawrence, 68, of Union Grove died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2008, at Shepherd's Cove, Hospice of Marshall County.
Mrs. Lawrence was born Dec. 6, 1940, in Minneapolis, Minn., to Eugene and Kathreine Kinikin Batten. She was married to Jack E. Lawrence, who died Oct. 10, 2002.
She had been a resident of Union Grove since 1994, was a homemaker and member of Arab First United Methodist Church.
She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law: Debbie Lawrence of Union Grove, Linda and Michael Rouse of Arab and Laurie and Rod Lorance of Union Grove; two grandchildren: Ben Meinjohans and Tr/ Lorance; and two brothers and sisters-in-law: Jerry and Toots Batten of Minnesota and Richard Batten of Michigan.
The funeral was at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 29, 2008, at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. Sam Huffstutler officiating. Burial was in Valhermoso Springs Cemetery, with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel directing.
Pallbearers were Doug Johnson, Stanley McWhorter, Brad O'Barr, Terry O'Barr, Tommy O'Barr and Jesse Pettit.
