Citation text:Born in AL and lived there most of his early life and when he was first married. Owned land.farm,tenant and share cropping(I believe) and also served in the army sometime in the mid to late 1930`s. He went back in the army during WWll and served in the far east. (pictures of him in the South Pacific are around somewhere). After the war was over he moved to Charleston Heights,S.C. where he worked at the Naval yard. He had a heart condition and retired( on a disability I believe) about 1965. When I was in AL with Bonnie and family we visited some of the places where she lived and went to school beforethey left Alabama.
James A. Lawrence and his sister Kathleen both married Stidgers (Brother and sister).
