Eve Schley Schumm (born Hardie)

Eve Schley Hardie, only child of Walter Stauffer Hardie and his first wife Evelyn Behr Hardie,

was born on 15 March 1937 in New York City. Her parents were divorced in 1937 and she lived with her

mother. Eve Hardie was married on 15 January 1976 in Breitenback, Switzerland, to Hans Schumm, born on 3 January 1942 in Bad Munderam, Deister, Germany (son of Johann Schumm and Magdalene Elfriede Marie Schumm). They lived in Switzerland. They were divorced in 1980, and Eve moved to Michigan, where she taught at the Detroit Waldorf School. Her son was a student there. One child:
