BiographyEsther's notes say that she was only 17 when they married. She wore the wedding dress she made (she was a dress maker before she married), made of purple silk with a narrow stripe of gold thread and trimmed with narrow black lace. It had a huge bustle and an 18" waist, and was kept in the family until it rotted.Esther says she died of cancer when Esther was 5, and also about 7, therefore c.1919. She says she actually died of a broken heart.Esther remembers her as a little old lady, very gentle with large dark eyes.
