Mary R. Reese - Clayton

Sister Mary R. Clayton settled in Homestead during the early 1920's, She practiced her church covenant and united with St. Paul Missionary Church in 1924 (1925-1928 ; she served as President of Usher Board #1. and was also a member of the Bethsny Chapter #1 Order of Eastern Stars and Eureka Lodge #33. After her term of office as President of Usher Board #1 ended, this did not discontinue her willingness to carry out her Christion duties. She assisted the church in many ways by working hard along with others, under adverse conditions during the early years, but these conditions did not deter herserving God and mankind. She was united in Holy Matriminy to the late Charlie Clayton,, they nutured and raised Sarah Lee Bush as their child, Miss Sarah Lee Bush would marry Willie Jones Jr, and Later would marry James Joseph Kemp.
