Confidence: Direct and primary evidence
In 1881 was a servant at Bute House, Campden Hill, Marylebone, for the Duke of Rutland (Belvoir Castle)
As was Rosina Sibthorpe whom he married Jan 16th 1891.
The Duke died in 1888.
Married Rosina Jan 15th 1891.
William in 1891 became landlord of the Dover Castle at 43 Weymouth Mews, Marylebone, London. He was still there in 1895 (the post office registry shows this). Helen Laura was born at the pub in 1892.
In 1901 he was living at Melton Mowbray.
In 1911 he was now landlord of the Peacock Inn with Helen Laura as his assistant as he was now a widower. We don't know when or where Rosina died. The 1911 census shows he had eight staff resident at the Inn.
Still can't find when or where he died, although we know he had died when Helen Laura got married, maybe he moved back to London as his daughter Helen was married in London. So he died between 1911 and 1916.
