Paschal C. Caldwell

Charlynn Johns states;

"Paschal Caldwell, 24, died of injuries received in an automobile collision Thursday night, his wife Rogene, 19, and Wiley Brassell, Jr.were taken to the Nazareth Hospital in Mineral Wells. Mrs. C.C.Caldwell, 56, suffered a broken ankle and bruises, the two month old baby of Paschal and Rogene, and Ross Caldwell did not suffer any injuries.

According to witnesses, young Brassell was headed east on Highway 80-A, and when nearing the curve at the west corner of Camp Woltersdrill grounds, about a mile east of the city attempted to pass a truck or car, also going east and as he pulled to the left to pass the truck, his car hit the Caldwell car coming west. Brassell was in the car by himself, with five in the Caldwell car.

The Caldwell's were returning from a drive to the country, visiting reletives in a rural community near Fort Worth, it was thought.

The Brassell car was completely demolished. the accident occurred at 10 p.m thursday night."
