North Carolina Deaths, 1908-67Posted by: Audrey Evans (ID *****4218) Date: March 17, 2005 at 06:34:25 Mr Abernathy, I just checked with my mom to see if Irvin and Esther McDade Barbee had any children and she said they didn't. My mom is 93+, grew up with both Esther and Irvin. Matter of fact she was telling me the other week that Irvin taught her to drive a car. Personally I vaguely remember Esther but do remember two of her sibling fairly well. Claude Barbee, who married Lucy Vickers, that you mentioned only had one daughter as did Odie Barbee by his first wife, He and Dorothy "Dot" Dean never had any children. -Looking at the Barbee genealogy book for possible males in the Walter A Barbee line I'm not seeing much choice-Audrey T Barbee's son A T is living but I don't know where. Walter Barbee son of Gabriel and Henrietta Hopson has been deceased for many, many years. I grew up very close to where all these folks lived and my mom still lives where I grew up. Remember going to Cousin Henrietta's as a child. My maternal grandfather was George W Hopson and he and Henrietta were 1st cousins. Hope this helps alittle. If I come up with someone I'll let you know. Audrey Evans | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
