Nandakumar HattiangadiAtmaram Hattiangadi, is my elder brother. He was born on 13th October 1931 and passed away on 1st April 2009. He was a Mechanical Engineer working for ACC Ltd. He was residing in Mumbai (Saraswat Colony, Sitaladevi Temple Road, Mahim) for the most part of his life. He married Savitri (daughter of late Ganesh Bhat Kallianpur) on the 1st June 1958 in Mumbai. His schooling was done at Madras Christian College High School, Madras, and later he completed his graduation (B.Sc) at Madras Christian College, Tambaram, Madras. He then graduated in Mechanical Engineering from Andhra University, having studied at College of Engineering, Kakinada,Andhra Pradesh. He worked for CSIR, New Delhi, after graduation for a few years before joining the ACC Ltd. He was a good cricketer. He had immense interest in Hindustani Classical music and studied music at Bhavan's College, Mumbai under K.G.Ginde. He was a very devoted, responsible and kind hearted person. He had a flair for writing and his articles were very good. Some of them got published in the KSA magazine too. He was a father figure to me and I truly miss his presence.
