BiographyA small man in stature, Carl worked hard to raise his son Robert especially in the time of the great depression, when he found employment as an elevator operator in a skyscrapper in NY city. He was a proud educated man that graduated from chiropractic college. It was said by his son that his father had small hands and was unable to be successful as a chiropractor. He owned a bar/dance hall in Gouvernor NY which closed when WWII broke out and most of the young patrons left town to join the military. Carl sold his bar after Robert graduated from high school and went to war. He inherited a duplex in Auburn NY where he lived for 50 years. He lived there with Robert's step mother Mrs Ida Bagley. Carl worked as an assistant purchasing agent for Alco Products Inc. Carl was a member of St. Paul's Lodge 124 F&A.M. Unfortunately Carl was a smoker which may have led to a fatal heart attack at the age of 71. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
