BiographyThe following article was in the "Society" page of a newspaper in November 1940 --- the paper was probably the Cleveland Plain Dealer but it may have well been the Madison WI paper.   Miss Mary McNary, Bride of James Bogart   On Nov, 25, the 32nd wedding anniversary of her parents, Miss Mary McNary stood before the Rev. Paul O. Kershner to repeat her wedding vows with her bridegroom, James Jackson Bogart, son of Mrs. George J. Bogart, 210 State St. (Madison, WI) The ceremony was performed at 8:30pm in the East Cleveland Congregational Church in Cleveland, Ohio. White chrysanthemums and palms banked the altar, and a single light, placed directly over the altar, shed its beams upon the members of the wedding party. The only other illumination came from dozens of candleabra placed throughout the church. The bride, who is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stacey Lutman McNary, Cleveland, wore a gown of ice blue satin, designed with a high neckline and a full skirt with a heavily corded hem. Her fingertip veil of ice blue tulle fell from a bonnet, fashioned like a small diamond. Her only jewelry, a gift from her parents, was a wreath-shaped pin of ice blue zircons, tied with a diamond studded bow knot. She carried an arm bouquet of white roses centered with white violets. Sister is Attendant Mrs. Harold M. Eger, Toledo, Ohio, attended her sister as matron of honor in a gown of dusty rose satin fashioned like that of the bride. Her satin Juliet cap, topped with a Belmont gardenia, matched her gown, and her arm bouquet was fashioned of pink roses. Miss Mary Alice Eger and Miss Virginia Ann Eger, nieces of the bride, served as bridesmaids in princess gowns of gold and sea green satin, respectively. They wore matching satin Juliet caps and carried arm bouquets of Talisman roses. George Thacher McNary, Cleveland, brother of the bride, was best man and the ushers were Carroll Prosses, Shaker Heights, Ohio and Harold M. Eger, Toledo, Ohio. Mrs. McNary attended her daughter's wedding in a gown of midnight blue chiffon, sprinkled with rhinestones. She wore the single strand of pearls that her husband had given to her on her wedding day. Mrs. Bogart, mother of the bridegroom, wore a black crepe gown vested with old Irish Point lace and with the same lace forming the cuffs on the long sleeves. Both mothers had shoulder corsages of English violets. Leave for New York After the ceremony, a reception was held at the McNary home which was decorated with white chrysanthemums and greens. Immediately following the reception Mr. and Mrs. Bogart left on a trip to New York City.   In another article, definitely from the Madison paper is the following: James J.
