Ella Lucinda Claire Newlin (born Bramble)

Mum passed away at home (Maxwell St, Tea-Gardens) after suffering for over 20 years with emphysema, asthma and cancer of the vagina. She was sick in bed with the flu for over a week and during the night, she asked Dad to walk her to the toilet. On their way back up the hallway she said to Dad "I must be going blind, cause I can't see". They had a little laugh and he put her back in bed, but by the time he had her slippers off and started to lay her back in the bed, she was gone. He shook her, and asked if she was ok?, but she never answered. He rushed over to see if we could come and wake her, saying all the time I think she gone, as we ran across the back yard, but I COULD NOT WAKE MY MUM. I will always love you MUM.xxxxxx
