Curry   Livestock specialist   William A. Curry, a livestock specialist for the University of Maryland who was active in young farmers' groups, died Saturday of heart disease at Howard County General Hospital after collapsing earlier that day at the Howard County Fair. He was 64 and lived in the Ellicott City area.   He worked in the Cooperative Extension Service at the University of Maryland College Park. He had joined the Animal Sciences faculty at UM in 1968 after earning a bachelor's degree there. Earlier, he was a beef cattle supervisor at the U.S. Department of Agriculture research center in Beltsville.   As a youth, he was a member of the Maryland 4-H dairy cattle judging team that won a national championship in 1948. He continued his association with the group and for 24 years was the 4-H and Future Farmer of America livestock superintendent at the Maryland State Fair at Timonium, and the coach of the state's 4-H livestock judging teams, which won many regional and national competitions.   The Easton native was a graduate of Cordova High School. He was a meat inspector in the Army from 1953 until 1955.   Services will be held at 10 a.m. tomorrow at the Harry H. Witzke Funeral Home, 4112 Old Columbia Pike, Ellicott City.   Survivors include his wife, the former Lynne Cleary; four sons, William A. Curry Jr. of Beltsville, Christopher S. Curry of Gambrills, Timothy J. Curry of Bowie and Army Major Peter E. Curry of Fort Drum, N.Y.; a daughter, Mary A. Poole of Laurel; a stepson, Jeff Cleary of Columbia; a stepdaughter, Leslie Bauer of Dayton; a brother, Stanley K. Curry of Glen Burnie; a half-brother, Edward N. Brinsfield of Leonardtown; a half-sister, Susan Brinsfield of Berlin; six grandchildren and three step-grandchildren.   Memorial donations may be made to the Warren G.
