George Don Lancaster

Items that I have taken notice to is the following in Wichita Falls, Texas Birth Records;

18th cousin of Queen Victoria.

George had black hair and dark brown/ hazel eyes and an olive complexion. His trade was a meatcutter. He managed several meat departments over the years. Especially in CA. George and Ruth met at Rays drive-In in Wichita Falls, Texas. As a young man, George worked as an Oxygen Technician at Wichita Falls General Hospital in Wichita Falls, Texas. Some of the places that George had worked were: Safeway Stores all over California, Mayfair Market in Northridge CA. in 1967. Ron's Thrift in Hayden Lake, Idaho in the mid 70's. He also worked as a Sales Rep. for Pierce Meat Packing Co. traveling throughout Montana, Idaho, and Washington. He worked for Wilson Foods as a rep. when he was living in Sacremento, CA. in the 1980's. After he moved back home to Wichita Falls, Texas, he worked for C.O. Morgan Lincoln Mercury which was located in Wichita Falls. He had always wanted to try himself at selling cars. I am glad he was able to experience that before his death. He had three best friends during his lifetime that I knew of, which were Darryl Bell, who's wife was Jackie, another, a man by the name of Ray, and his dearest friend for years was James Jermane who married Georges' second wife Barbaras' sister Jeannie. George was a ladies man. Very handsome indeed. He definitely had his share of problems with the ladies! And he always had a sense of humor. Everyone I ever met LOVED George Lancaster.

Addresses I can recall of some of the places we resided;

*Wichita Falls, Texas- I was born

*El Paso, Texas- Ken was born and I was 3.

*An apt. that Dad had sent his mother a plane ticket to come see us. The huge photo of Ken and I was taken at this apt. A photographer had come around to the apts. and took photos.

*Centinella St.- Los Angeles, Ca.- I was 5, Ken was 2. Ruth and George still together. He had met his next wife Barbara while we were living in this duplex.

*Oklahoma City, Ok.- Rental home I had met my first beau at. His name was Matthew Mcpherson.

*Oklahoma City, Ok.- We had rented a farm house and had purchased chickens & two cows.

*In the San Fernando Valley. We thought the house was haunted. I recall hedges around the entire front yard.

* Los Angeles Rental house where Barbara's friend Phylis resided across the street.

*1123 W. 210th St.- Torrance, Ca. Bobbi Lynn was born.

*Viola Dr.- Riverside, Ca. 92501- Near Riverside Hwy. 215- Our house was 4th from the dead end. A Circle K store was through the field. Our house sat up higher than the other homes. We had 3 bdrms., 2 baths, built-in pool. We purchased the home when I was 15. This is the house that I was most proud of.

*Nora St.- Coeur D' Alene, Idaho 83814- Older home we rented on a dead end, last house, next to Hwy. 95.

*N. Lincoln St.- Post Falls, Idaho 83854- Between 21st. and Poleline. We had purchased a brand new home in a new neighborhood. Five years later, George and Barbara would divorce here. George and Ken then moved to Great Falls, Montana, then to Missoula, Montana where he had met Judith and they came to Coeur D' Alene, Idaho to marry since it was near my place and Joe and I could be their witnesses. George and Judith left Missoula and her family and moved to Sacremento, Ca. while George sold meat. They would later end up in George's hometown of Wichita Falls, Texas, where he sold cars with his brother-in-law Bill Miller, then worked for C.O. Morgan Lincoln Mercury. You could say that dad took the long way home I guess...
