FavoritesInterests: Reading, researching Activities: Painting Music: classic and country and jazz Movies: Bourne Identity ,Hachi, Books: War and Peace, Anna Karenninaany Bernard Cornwall,Galbadron ,Gregory BiographyThis Biography is about my Paintbrushes.I have many of them and they come in all sizes flats, rounds,Hoghair, synthetic watercolour.longhandled and short. These brushes have taken me on a fabulous journey and are continuing on today. it began at High School when I gained recognition from my art teacher who later became my mentor/friend. Some years were lost when the paintbrushes became idle but the urge to create was always there which led me to study prehistoric Europe and the ancient near east rock paintings of Spain viewing in wonder the statuary and architecture of Persia and the near East so exotic and distant from the shores of Australia. These studies have taken many years but the journey is never endingThe insight the studies have given me is an increased sensitivity beyond my dreams. It has been about connecting with people ,culturesand myself to make creative sense of it all. Each brushstroke on a painting, each line drawn,is a thought.you have to be focussed of each placement of every stroke.Painting is like music-if you miss a note it is incomplete. I am still on my journey, taking many directions, crisscrossing over the universe I am so lucky to have such a passion .To think that the little piece of wood with hairs sticking out could take me on such a journey. Captain Walter Synnot the first of my ancestors to come to Australia was also a known artist and his work has been recorded. here is a fable told to me by edith and John Synnot-in France LUSiGNAN A LITTLE FORTIFIED TOWN IT IS said the synnots are decended from the Knights of Lusignan and the local story goes that one of them married a fairy-a beautiful one-However she insisted that regularly one night every week that she spent on her own in one of the towers of the cast5le overlooking the river.Such was the lady's beAUTY that he readily agreed.Sadly to say that as time went by and he gradually became curious and one night ventured into the tower and was confronted with his beautiful lady with a serpents tail. His affronted fairy wife flew out the window never to be seen again....... | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
