Frederick was born in Novmber of 1868 in Oldeburg Germany. He and two brothers emmigrated to the United States. Frederick came to the USA in 1883 at the age of 16. He became a naturalized citizen, could read, write and speak English.
On June 2nd, 1900, he was a saloon keeper.
