After obtaining the transer to work on the steal room floor and working for a while Carl was involved in a accident where while he was standing below someone was moving a steel beam in the air above his head. The beam fell free and landed on Carls foot cutting it off. He was in recovery for at least 6 months. This was the end of his carreer in the Steel Mill. Steel Mill Secretary
After attending male secratarial college and gaining employment as a secratary in a steel mill Carl realized that the workers on the floor of the mill without any higher education were earning more wages per hour then he was.
