A public forum will be held on Thursday 16 February 2006 at the University of Sydney to discuss West Papua, refugees and Australia.The forum follows the arrival in Australia on 16 January 2006 of 43 asylum-seekers from West Papua.Hosted by the Centre for Peace and Conflict Studies and Australian Greens Senator Kerry Nettle, the forum and discussion will include presentations by the following speakers:* Emeritus Professor Stuart Rees, Director, Centre for Peace and Conflict Studies, University of Sydney;* Australian Greens Senator Kerry Nettle;* John Wing, co-author of recent report "Genocide in West Papua? The role
of the Indonesian state apparatus and a current needs assessment of the
Papuan people."A video statement from asylum-seeker leader Herman Wainggai filmed on
