Katherine Holbrook Hello Peggy, My daughter Holly Keath has had some contact with you, that is how I learned about this website. My father was GHL (Gordon Houston Louis) Holbrook. He always denied to us that he had a name, only initials, so you probably won't find many official records with anything except GH or GHL. It's only since I started doing the genealogy tha I discovered his name. My mother was his first wife Estle Lee Wood. They divorced in 1961 when I was 11. He remarried that same year to a woman named Cora and had 5 sons with her. His father was Theodore Capalckus Holbrook. He died last November on his 92nd birthday. I am the youngest of the children from his 1st marriage (3 boys, 5 girls). I was born in Fort Worth, Texas and still live here. I am blessed that all my siblings are still living and healthy, and all within easy driving distance except my sister Peggy. who now lives in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas.
Two of Capalckus' sons have changed the spelling of their last name to Halbrook so you have 2nd cousins with that last name as well. Daughters of Jack Halbrook are Sandra Sue (deceased) and Barbara Jack. Children of Alton Halbrook (deceased this year) are William (Bill) Alton Halbrook and Deborah Lee Halbrook.
