Polly: I have collected Loveless trees for over 30 years as to how we all connect. Most of the lines were furnished by  people from their given family tree. That is had I got your folks I'm sure.Dr. Alton Loveless

Pat Tolley I have much to share. Just found your site. My great g'father was James Timmons Loveless (Lovelace). He married Mary Ann Eliza Freeman Steere sometime soon after the Civil War. He changed his last name to Lovelace. They had 3 children. They moved to somewhere on or near the Red River in Arkansas. She died at the birth of their 3rd child. His 2 remaining children were ages 6 and 4. He sent them on the train to Atlanta where they were raised by their mother's Robinson cousins. Meanwhile their father meandered around, primarily buying land for the gold, etc. that could be mined. Before the war, he was a school teacher. Right after the war he was a shop clerk and then shop owner. Almost all of my info comes from a memoir he wrote about himself, his childhood, and the war.
