Donna Chatman I just requested membership so that I can look at your site.
Where did the Wright's come from? Did they also come from Missouri. If I still can't get into your site, I will have you to send me a short version. Thanks for responding.

Ted K. Wright My Wrights from Virginia to Alabama to Texas. My particular line, James L and Theldra Jane, landed in Coryell County, spread to Williamson County and Bell County and then fanned out from there, to west Texas and south Texas. James L had other kin who came to Texas. I found one in Lubbock, Texas area. Copelands came from NC to KY to Missouri to Texas. Wright and Copeland are my fathers folks. On my mother's side and researching Cothren and Knox,.

Ted K. Wright Hi, cuz! If I figured it right we are 2nd cousins. My grandfather, Levi Cothren, was younger brother of Richard David Cothern. Your info is greatly appreciated!! Went back and looked at my tree and realized I had Verdie and Jack Goines listed twice, one as Goines, again as Preece. Census fooled me. Got that straight. Thanks. I only have one child of Rosetta and Zeno, a Mildred Naoma Silvers, born 1919, died 1967. Don't know the other child?
If you are interested in the Cothern bunch, a lady in Colorado published Cothern Clan, 3rd Edition, in Dec, 2004. Put it on a cd so wouldn't cost so much. $10. If you like I can give you her email address.

Ted K. Wright My wife's great grandmother was Anna Leona Elizabeth "Lizzie" Shelton who married John Sidney Carter. Her grandfather was Spencer Shelton who came to Texas from Virginia. According to the Shelton book I have, Nelson Shelton and his wife Frances Sadler had 12 kids. 1 stayed in Virginia, 10 went thru NC to AL, and one went to Texas. That was Spencer.. Sounds like you and my wife may be cousins of some sort
